Amanda loves writing and writing creative non-fiction is her specialty. She loves writing the content we create for our customers and translating technical jargon into plain English. She also has a keen eye for design and likes to add a splash of color everywhere she goes. In her first years at Tharstern, Amanda facilitated the move from formal and bland business branding to the playful and cheerful style that sets us apart today. She has been with the company for over 5 years and heads up our marketing team, she has overall responsibility for our marketing strategy from new business lead generation, and content strategy, right through to product launches. She works really hard to understand our customers as much as possible in order to deliver relevant communications and valuable material that aim to share in-depth knowledge and advice relevant to our industries’ interests and goals. Amanda is super proud whenever we get compliments about our communications with customers or on social, on the website, or on campaigns like TharsternTV, or our podcast. Before Tharstern, Amanda undertook a similar role at a company that delivered consultancy of various types. During this time she was proud to have achieved runner-up at the Guardian Sustainable Business Awards, after several arduous interviews. She recalls attending the Guardian HQ for the awards ceremony and being asked to hug a tree for the publicity photo! This was not the end of her thirst for achievement as she went on to collect ‘Medium Business of the Year’ alongside the Tharstern marketing team at the BIBAS Awards 2019. Amanda is a regular co-host for our INKspire podcast series, has appearances in various videos, and occasionally co-presents webinars all of which can be found on TharsternTV. She wouldn’t mention it herself, but she has been on the receiving end of many a company award and sporting accolade, including the Tharstern People’s Choice Winner of 2018! Amanda holds various A Levels, including, Psychology, English, and Programming along with a first-class honors degree in Marketing at UCLan. When not hard at work, Amanda loves being outside in nature, walking, camping and gardening. Her ideal evening would be drinking wine outside under a blanket in front of a fire pit. She also enjoys absorbing science fiction stories in whatever format they come.
