Production Planning
The interactive live planning board provides planners with the tools to create fluid visual plans to help make decisions, manage demand and capacity based on deadlines; job priorities; dependencies and resources. With drag and drop technology users can quickly plan and unplan jobs to optimise production efficiency. ‘What if’ scenarios can also be created to consider the impact of new jobs or changes in resource availability.

The Planning features increase the transparency and communication of production plans progress and capacities across the business, allowing each department (or site) to prioritise and manage their own workloads. For example, the production planner may create a schedule for all departments based on job deadlines. However, the press room manager might adjust and re-organise operations for the presses based on job priorities or press-ready jobs.  This in turn automatically re-plans the schedule for related finishing operations which the finishing manager could then review and amend based on staff resource.

Milestones
Milestones can add significant value to project scheduling and the management of jobs. The Milestone feature allows you to break the production process into smaller events constrained by dates for different job types or customers, ensuring delivery deadlines are achieved. This allows you to accurately determine whether a key event has been completed, if a job can progress to the next stage, as well as track if a job is on time whilst identifying any hold-ups.

The Milestone feature is ideal to demonstrate to customers how you can manage their work and enables staff to easily track job progress and action any segment not yet done, whilst making plans based on the milestones that have been completed.
