Using Tharstern Supplier On-Line (TSO), Superior Creative of Melksham has become the first printer in the UK to integrate their TharsternSQL MIS into the on-line procurement system offered by the Paperlinx Group, more affectionately known as BITE (Business Internet Trading Engine).

TSO provides a mechanism to continuously and automatically update the latest product catalogue in a matter of moments. A catalogue is automatically created and updated for each individual printer and contains their agreed special buying rates. This process alone helps to quickly and simply manage product and price updates and eliminates the need to manually update each product individually or key in new product lines.

Using TSO allows orders placed within Tharstern’s successful Purchase Order Processing module to be sent on-line via the internet to BITE. Real-time feedback is given to the user for elements such as stock availability, additional cutting charges or delivery delays, in addition to an order confirmation email being sent to a designated account.

Paul Cook who worked closely with Paperlinx commented. “Unfortunately during the testing of live accounts, I didn’t cancel the orders in time, so I had to deal with quite a few disgruntled delivery drivers! Saying that, it proved it works and we were very excited about getting TSO installed in a commercial environment.”

Pat Evans of Superior Creative was more than happy to be the first to have this facility. “I have found it quick and easy to use, and it will allow anyone to raise a purchase order and process it in one go, this frees up valuable time, as well as helping us work towards a paperless office! Hopefully in time other suppliers will work with Tharstern once they see the benefits this system brings.”

TSO is a free add-on to current TharsternSQL v2 users.
