01/06/2005 Tharstern Demonstrates Heidelberg JDF connection

Tharstern have added to the number of third party vendors that can be connected to its SQL print MIS with the Heidelberg Prinect Networking system. The results of many months of close co-operation will be demonstrated at the Tharstern customer Expo on 7th June 2005 in Bradford.

Lance O’Connell, Prinect and prepress marketing manager for Heidelberg UK, says: “Although Heidelberg has its own MIS product we have always committed to open JDF connectivity and our projects with all major MIS suppliers is at an advanced stage and beginning to move from development work to commercial reality. Tharstern and Heidelberg have worked well together on this project and soon we will be able to take our connectivity into the field to help customers gain efficiency by linking business and production operations together seamlessly.”
